Obituary

Dee Ann Cedarleaf, of Rockford Illinois. Born in Stockton, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on July 2, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 15, 1947, in Stockton, Illinois, to Harry and Eileen Johns.

Dee Ann was the cornerstone of her family. She was a kind, loving, and selfless woman who was always ready to help others in need. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Curtis Cedarleaf; her son, Todd and wife Brooke Cedarleaf; her daughters, Noelle Cedarleaf and Katy Sanderson and husband Jerod. Her sisters , Rae Lynn Swenson and Angie Niehoff, and predeceased by her brother Colin Johns. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Lily, Bella, Sara, Armani, Sebastian, Taylor, and Logan Cedarleaf; Gabriel and Samara Beestrum; and Tristan and Isabella Sanderson. She was further blessed with two great-grandchildren, Winnie and Joseph Mishmash, who brought her immense joy.

Dee Ann especially cherished weekends at the family lake home in Montello, Wisconsin, where she enjoyed cooking, relaxing, and making lasting memories with those she loved. She also enjoyed shopping and traveling, particularly visiting family in Florida, taking trips to Arizona and Lake Tahoe, and spending time in Las Vegas. Wherever she went, being surrounded by family made every trip meaningful.

Dee Ann's warmth, generosity, and unwavering love touched all who knew her. Her beautiful spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2026 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, 1860 South Mulford Road, Rockford, IL 61108, with a memorial service beginning at 12:00 pm.
