Widell
July 21, 1959 — June 17, 2026
Denise Ann Widell, age 66, passed away peacefully on 6/17/26, surrounded by the love of her family.
She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother , and a woman whose strength and warmth touched everyone who knew her. For 45 years, she shared a beautiful marriage with her husband, Scott, building a life rooted in love, resilience, and unwavering partnership.
Denise dedicated her career as the kitchen manager at Boylan Catholic High School, where she did far more than prepare meals—she cared for students and staff alike with kindness, generosity, and a nurturing spirit that made everyone feel at home.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved exploring new crafting hobbies, always eager to create something with her hands. She enjoyed shopping adventures and especially loved trying new restaurants—turning every meal into an experience to share with those she loved most.
Above all, she adored her three grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She cherished every moment spent with them, creating memories filled with laughter, love, and warmth.
Denise faced many challenges throughout her life, but she met every obstacle head-on—with strength, grace, and a smile often paired with a well-timed joke. Her resilience was inspiring, and her ability to bring light even in difficult times will never be forgotten.
She will be remembered for her kindness, her humor, her unwavering love for her family, and the way she made others feel seen, cared for, and welcome.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 45 years, Scott; her children, Kila (Chris) Hittenmiller, Kara (Aaron) Bogacz; her grandchildren, Kember Hittenmiller, Alaina Bogacz, Jensen Bogacz; siblings, Brad (Anne) Donnelli, Dawn (Bill) Pritz, Diane (Joe) Bove, Debbie (Larry) Park, Bruce (Lori) Donnelli; brother-in-law, Thom (Sue) Widell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
