Dorothy F.
Noble
January 14, 1935 — May 15, 2026
Dorothy F. Noble, 91, passed away peacefully in her home on May 15, 2026. She was born on January 14, 1935, the daughter of Sereno and Mary Louise (Fedeli) Ferraro. Dorothy attended St. Mary’s and graduated from Bishop Muldoon High School, class of 1952. She married the love of her life, Michael Noble, on February 6, 1954. Mike and Dorothy went on to have four children. Dorothy worked up until she was 80 in various positions within the medical field. She was devoted to her Catholic faith and proud of her Italian heritage. Dorothy was an excellent student, winning many academic achievements. She dedicated her life to the upbringing of her children, instilling in them the importance of “Please” and “Thank you” and hard work. Dorothy was their biggest cheerleader and often was the cheerleader for the other players whose parents were unable to attend. To say Dorothy doted over her children would be an understatement, she raised them with a firm, loving nature. She had her way of doing things and cared for so many. The gift of family was everything to Dorothy and that legacy continues through her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Dorothy will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Terrence Noble, Mary Kay (David) Spataro, and Julie (Mark) Rowe; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Mary Kay (Peter) Spataro, Carolyn (Ed) Pado, Dennis (Kim) Ferraro, and Margaret (Phil) Carroll; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sereno and Mary Louise; beloved husband, Mike; son, Thomas Noble; and sister, Nancy (Benny) Nuccio. The family would like to thank OSF Hospice for their compassion and care, especially nurse, Sue.
Memorial Mass will be held Friday, May 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Rd, Rockford, IL 61107. Visitation will be the same day from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Church. Private Inurnment at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
