Dorothy Parker, 87, of Rockford passed away on Thursday February 12, 2026.

She was born on December 22, 1938 in Liverpool, England to Ralph and Ellen (Walker) Clucas, their youngest child.

Dorothy married Barry Parker of Great Yarmouth on November 3rd, 1973 in Saltaire village, England and they shared over fifty happy, devoted years of marriage.

Dorothy volunteered for many years at OSF Saint Anthony medical center in Rockford. Everyone who met Dorothy remarked upon her being so very kind to people she met. She was well known for remembering birthdays of family and friends and their families and friends. We will always remember Dorothy’s kind, approachable manner and joyful laugh.

The world is a very different place without her and all who met Dorothy will miss her greatly.

Dorothy is survived by her loving husband Barry, children Elaine Davis and David Parker. She had one grandchild Ryan Ellis and the recent arrival in January 2026 of great granddaughter Gracie.

Dorothy was predeceased by her siblings Ralph, William and Leslie Clucas along with her sister Jean Aspinall.

A memorial service for Dorothy will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Peterson Meadows Chapel, 6401 Newburg Rd, Rockford, IL 61108, at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Dorothy survived breast cancer in 2022, the family have requested donations in lieu of flowers to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
