Edward “Todd” Walker, 65, of Belvidere, passed away on June 13, 2026. Born in Shenandoah Junction, WV, to William E. and Doris L. (Crowley) Walker on August 2, 1960. He grew up in West Virginia as a dairy farmer’s kid, a title he was very proud of. Todd spent his career working as a self-taught computer programmer and software developer. He specialized in library automation, doing so was where he met the love of his life, Lucretia; they were married in Maryland on September 23, 1994. Outside of work, he still liked to keep busy with coding in his free time. He was an avid reader and greatly enjoyed the outdoors, where he and Lucretia spent time gardening together. Todd was a Third-Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Rita's Council. He was also involved with the FAA and 4-H programs, competing and succeeding in showmanship, land judging, and public speaking.

He is survived by and will be greatly missed by his wife of nearly 32 years, Lucretia; and his son, John Walker. He is predeceased by his parents and sister, Barbara Welty.

A Funeral Mass for Todd will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Oratory, 517 Elm St, Rockford, IL 61102. Interment at St. James Cemetery in Belvidere, IL. Memorial donations may be made in Todd’s name to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
