Francisca (Conchita) Betancourt, 86, Rockford, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026. She was born on December 3, 1939, in Havana, Cuba, the daughter of Manuel Vento and Dominga Gonzalez. She married the love of her life, Oscar Betancourt on September 23, 1961, in Cuba, where they remained married for 64 years. She worked as a housekeeper for Elmhurst Hospital for many years. In her free time, she loved to garden, do her nails, and make great fun for her family.

She is survived by her husband, Oscar; her daughter, Cecilia Betancourt; her niece, Nury Gonzalez; her nephew, Dennis (Theresa) Garcell; her great nieces, Brittany Gonzalez, Klynn (Jesus) Garcell; Samantha (Daniel) Garcell; Christina Gonzalez; her great nephews, Myles Garcell and Mycah Garcell; her great nieces, Natalia Burnham, Melody Burnham, Rosella Johnson and Livvi Villa. She is preceded by her sister-in-law, Cary Betancourt.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, IL, 61108.
