Gene Raymond Gosseaux, 77, of Rockford, passed away on August 23, 2026. He was born on July 31, 1949, in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, the son of Joseph and Clara (Pietrosky) Gosseaux. He attended Michigan State before transferring to Eastern Michigan University where he earned his bachelor's degree. He was a member of Amazing Grace Lutheran Church in South Beloit, IL. He was a fan of all sports, especially for all Detroit and Chicago teams. 

He is survived by his sister, Leslie Fecht; nephews, Nicholas (Jeff) Fecht and Matthew Fecht; numerous cousins and many dog nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents and brother-in-law, Mark Fecht. 

Funeral services are still pending at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Amazing Grace Lutheran Church or Misfit Angels Rescue in Michigan.
