Guadalupe (Lupe) M. Sandwick, 87, of Rockford, IL died in Beloit, Wisconsin on May 8, 2026. Born to Rejino R. Rodriguez and Maria L. Barraza on July 29, 1938. Lupe attended Saint Mary’s school in Rockford, IL. Lupe enjoyed playing basketball and cheerleading. She then attended and graduated from Rockford West High School. Lupe married Jay F. Sandwick on April 25, 1959 at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church. Lupe worked as an Office Aid at Roosevelt Middle School and Lincoln Middle School. She enjoyed spending summer days with her outdoor flowers and going to the beach in Fontana, on Lake Geneva, WI.

Guadalupe M. Sandwick is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth (Joseph) Sweeney; sons Christopher J. Sandwick, Philip T. (Deborah) Sandwick and George G. (Debra) Sandwick; grandchildren, Joseph, Jennifer, Connor, Samuel, Isabella, Mark, Matthew, and Maria, 11 great-grandchildren, stepbrother Efren Martinez and numerous nephews and neices. Lupe is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers, 4 stepbrothers, and 2 stepsisters.

A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Oratory, 517 S. Elm St, Rockford, IL 61102.
