Isaiah Royale Childs, 12, of Rockford, passed away unexpectedly on January 9, 2026. He was born on January 3, 2014, in Rockford, the son of Andrew Childs and Tanyai Taber. He was a go-getter and would try anything once. He enjoyed playing video games like Minecraft and listening to music, especially R&B, Spanish, country, and Juice WRLD. Isaiah loved his family and cherished the time spent with his siblings. He had a great sense of humor and was always telling dad jokes. He appreciated good food, especially tacos, fried chicken, mac & cheese, and crawfish. Isaiah had a love for soccer and enjoyed playing with all his friends. He was an energetic and full of life son, brother, cousin, nephew, and friend.

He is survived by his parents, Andrew Childs and Tanyai Taber; siblings, Ashanti Hampton, Dontavius Taber, Anastacia Childs, Elijah Childs, Demetrius Childs, and Jazmine Taber; numerous loving grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and dog, Rocky.
