JACK: “GOD IS GRACIOUS”

Classic masculine name, signifying strength, vitality, and common man.

Jack’s family described him as goofy protective, kind, hard-working, patient, loving, lighthearted, adventuresome, and indefatigable.

He bowled in a senior bowling league at Cherry Bowl until his death, bowling his last game January 6, 2026, bowling a 218. He enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre and pitch and Uno with the kids.

He was one of a kind, loved his job as an excavator in the family business, taking pride in a job well done. He regretted the day he retired. He always said if he could he’d still be working.

He was a “Jack” of all trades, he’d figure it out

to Jack during this difficult time also to the Cherry Valley Fire EMTs for their gentle care of Jack when he needed them.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Fitzgerlad Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108. Visitation will take place Saturday, Aprill 11, 2026, from 10:30 -11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.
