James “Jim” J. Guarino, 77, of Rockford, passed away on September 4, 2026. He was born on September 9, 1948, in Rockford, the son of Sam and Geraldine (Salamone) Guarino. Jim served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed overseas in Seoul, Korea. He graduated from Boylan High School and attended Lewis College where he earned his degree in aeronomics. He worked alongside his brother Joe owning and operating Audio Trak in Rockford for over 30 years. He later worked at UW Swedish American as a tech for 10 years. Jim was an avid Chicago Bears & Chicago Cubs fan. He was a registered organ donor, continuing his legacy of generosity by giving the gift of life to others.

He is survived by his brother, Joe (Charlene) Guarino and niece, Samantha Guarino. He is predeceased by his parents and brother, David Guarino.

A Funeral Service will be on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, IL 61108, with a visitation prior starting at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
