Janet R, Trestik, 79, of Rockford, passed away on March 9, 2026. She was born in Barrington, IL to Raymond and Jean (Mellow) Trestik. After graduating from Illinois Wesleyan University, for most of her career she worked as a medical technologist, specializing in blood banking. Later retiring from Siemens as a biologist. She met her lifelong beloved partner, Francis Buhler, through a fellow Rockford Symphony musician in the late seventies. Growing flowers inside and outside was her passion and also feeding the wildlife that ventured in the backyard. She was a true nature lover.
