Pedro, beloved husband of the late Catalina, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on September 9th, surrounded by his family, following a brief illness.

Pedro was a hardworking man who took great pride in providing for his family. He found joy in the simple things in life, especially tending to his animals and cultivating the land. He especially enjoyed attending rodeos and loved to read. Pedro was always happy to share his stories and life experiences with others, offering wisdom that his children and grandchildren will carry with them for years to come.

He leaves behind his beloved children: Mariano (Margarita) Rodriguez, Pedro (Andrea) Rodriguez, Magdalena (Jaime) Almanza, and Catalina (Jose) Perez. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren: Mariano, Isaias, Gabriel, Vanessa, Sebastian, Jocelyn, Cesar, Yanelly, Gabriela, Jose, and Carlos. Each of them will carry his stories, wisdom, and the love he shared with them in their hearts.

He is also survived by his siblings, Marcelino Rodriguez, Joaquín Rodriguez, Reyes Rodriguez, Armando Rodriguez, and his sister, Nicolasa Villareal.

Pedro will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. The life he built, the lessons he shared, and the memories he created will remain with those who loved him.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 3910 N. Rockton Avenue, Rockford, Illinois. Following the visitation, Pedro will be returned to Mexico, where he will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife, Catalina.

Pedro, amado esposo de la fallecida Catalina, padre, abuelo y amigo, falleció pacíficamente en su hogar el 9 de septiembre, rodeado de su familia, después de una breve enfermedad.

Pedro fue un hombre trabajador que siempre se sintió orgulloso de proveer para su familia. Encontraba alegría en las cosas sencillas de la vida, especialmente en cuidar de sus animales y en cultivar la tierra. Disfrutaba mucho asistir a los rodeos y también le encantaba leer. Siempre estaba dispuesto a compartir sus historias y experiencias de vida con los demás, dejando consejos y enseñanzas que sus hijos y nietos llevarán consigo por muchos años.

Deja a sus queridos hijos: Mariano (Margarita) Rodríguez, Pedro (Andrea) Rodríguez, Magdalena (Jaime) Almanza, y Catalina (José) Pérez. Será recordado con mucho amor por sus nietos: Mariano, Isaías, Gabriel, Vanessa, Sebastián, Jocelyn, César, Yanelly, Gabriela, José y Carlos. Cada uno llevará en su corazón sus historias, sus enseñanzas y el amor que siempre compartió con ellos.

También le sobreviven sus hermanos Marcelino Rodríguez, Joaquín Rodríguez, Reyes Rodríguez, Armando Rodríguez y su hermana, Nicolasa Villareal.

Pedro será profundamente extrañado por su familia, sus amigos y todos aquellos que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerlo. La vida que construyó, las enseñanzas que compartió y los recuerdos que dejó permanecerán siempre en el corazón de quienes lo amaron.

La visitación se llevará a cabo el sábado 19 de septiembre de 2026, de 4:00 p. m. a 6:00 p. m., en Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, ubicado en 3910 N. Rockton Avenue, Rockford, Illinois. Después de la visitación, Pedro será trasladado a México, donde descansará junto a su amada esposa, Catalina.
