Kristine Rose Adrignola, 74, Cherry Valley, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026. She was born December 10, 1951, in Chicago, the daughter of Everett and Tempest (Milligan) Hammelmann. She graduated from Elgin High School in 1971. In 1976 she moved to Rockford and started a career as a clerk doing bookkeeping in the accounts receivable department at Camcar Textron for over 30 years until her retirement. She met her future husband, Carl Adrignola, in 1977, and they married on July 7th in 1979.

Kris enjoyed gardening, planted many types of beautiful flowers and plants and loved feeding the birds and squirrels that her garden attracted. She would sit at the window with her binoculars and identify the many species of birds and animals that would visit. She was an avid collector of dolls and was happy to show them to friends and family. She also enjoyed home decorating, especially for different holidays. She traveled on many bus trips with Carl. One of her interests was to check the weather and news each day and share them with her family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Carl; her son, Aaron; her daughter, Jessi, who shares the same birthday with her; her 18-year-old black cat, Atrus; and many beloved in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Predeceased by her parents and her sister, Kathy (Hammelmann) Hutson, as well as her sister Delores Mullins, and brothers Thomas “Tom” O. Milligan and William “Bill” E. Milligan.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026, at St. Rita Catholic Church, 6254 Valley Knoll Dr. Rockford. Burial will be in Willwood Burial Park.
