Linda Mae (Phelps) Rohlman, 76, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend, passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, March 1, 2026, in Rockford, IL. She was born on March 19, 1949, in DeKalb, the daughter of Budd and Mary (Almburg) Phelps. She married the love of her life, William “Bill” Rohlman, on June 11, 1977, in Freeport, IL.

She worked as a registered nurse for over 40 years at Freeport Memorial Hospital and OSF St. Anthony Medical Center until her retirement and as a consultant for Mary-Kay for over 20 years. She was incredibly passionate about helping others and was always there to lend a helping hand. In her free time, she loved to golf – she and Bill played golf in 40 of the 50 of the states. She loved to travel and spend winters in Arizona.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, William Rohlman; her sons, Joseph (Shannon) Rohlman and David (Connie) Rohlman; her granddaughters, Johnna Rohlman, Olivia Rohlman, and Lucy Rohlman; her siblings, William (Anne) Phelps, Sam (Lori) Phelps, Ann (Mike) Genrich, and Matt (Sue) Phelps; her brother-in-law, Art (Linda) Rohlman; her sisters-in-law, Dorothy (Dan) Appel, Mary Rohlman, and Mary (Bill McNamara) Rohlman; and her many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; she is preceded in death by her parents, Budd and Mary Phelps; her father and mother-in-law, Bill and Claire Rohlman; and her brothers-in-law, Francis and Joe Rohlman.

A memorial visitation will take place on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 12:00 noon until the time of the memorial service at 2:30 p.m., at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, IL, 61108. A private burial will take place the following day at Malta Cemetery.
