Michael Joseph Pipitone Jr., 75, South Beloit, passed away in his home on Sunday, August 16, 2026. He was born on February 23, 1951, the son of Michael J. Pipitone Sr. and Josephine H. (Mannone) Pipitone. He married Patricia “Pat” (Lameyer) Pipitone on October 20, 1967, in Unionville, Missouri.
Mike was a proud graduate of St. Patrick Catholic School. His career as a Teamster with Local #325 spanned over three decades, where he was recognized as a hard worker. Mike's personal life reflected the same steadfastness and warmth as his career. Known affectionately as "The Inspector," he was a creature of habit who took great pride in maintaining his lawn—his attention to detail and consistency became just as legendary as his love for vintage cars and model cars. An avid fisherman, Mike never missed a chance to embrace the hobbies that brought him joy.
Family was the cornerstone of Mike’s world. He was a devoted family man, known for his strong will and boundless affection for his loved ones. He doted on his parents, especially his mother, for whom he had profound respect and tenderness. Mike adored his grandchildren and demonstrated his commitment to their lives by attending their games and cheering them on at every opportunity.
Mike also shared his heart with his beloved dog, Maybelle, whose companionship brought him immense happiness for many years. Whether enjoying a quiet moment at home or spending time with family, Mike’s sense of loyalty and care was always evident.
He is survived by his wife, Pat; his children, Kim Pipitone, Terilynn Pipitone (Rick Stout), and Dcn. Michael Anthony Pipitone (Jeanna); his grandchildren, Nikolas Pipitone (Emily), Tyler DeVerneuil, Dalton Swenson, Landon Swenson, Lani Kazel (Cody Sizemore), Michael Joe Pipitone III, Luke Pipitone, and Gianna R.P. Pipitone; his great grandchildren, Dominik Pipitone, Aden Pipitone; his brother, Anthony Pipitone (Anna); and numerous nephews. He is preceded by his parents and his nephew, Angelo Pipitone.
