Olivia Taylor-Blair Higdon, 31, and her beloved daughter, Anya, passed away on July 31, 2026, in Seymour, Tennessee. Olivia was born on January 8, 1995, in Rockford, Illinois, daughter to James and Barbara (Fritchen) Higdon. She would grow up in a life filled with creativity, imagination, and a deep appreciation for beauty. She found joy in the simple wonders of the world, particularly flowers, with sunflowers and mums holding a special place in her heart. When living in Rockford, she enjoyed working at a local greenhouse, surrounded by the plants and colors she loved so much. Blessed with a creative spirit, Olivia possessed a remarkable artistic talent. If you were to come across one of her sketchbooks, you would find detailed fine-line drawings that captured not only the likeness of her subjects, but often their spirit as well. Hidden throughout many of her drawings were subtle details and touches that reflected her own personality and perspective. She was also an avid writer who poured her thoughts into poetry, journals, and stories. Whether she was drawing, writing, or immersing herself in a favorite fantasy video game, Olivia embraced creativity and imagination in everything she was passionate about. More than anything, Olivia dreamed of becoming a mother. It was a hope she carried with her throughout her life and one that finally came true with the birth of her daughter, Anya, on April 16, 2026. She spoke with wonder about watching her baby grow. Though Anya's time here was far too brief, she was cherished beyond measure. She was deeply loved by a family who eagerly anticipated the opportunity to know her, watch her grow, and share in the milestones of her life. While those moments never came to pass, the love held for both Anya and Olivia remains enduring and unbroken.

Olivia and Anya will be missed by those that loved them most: Barbara and James Higdon; B. Graham and Jazmyn, as well as their son Teddy; Bethany and Evelyn Scott. Also survived by extended family, Mike (Jolyn), David, Ben (Sarah), Nancy (the late Gary), and all of their families.
