Patricia Rosalie Kuppe, passed away peacefully at home June 11, 2026 at the age of 96. She was born to James and Cecil McArdle of McGregor, MN on November 16, 1929. Married Charles Kuppe (d. 2020) May 7, 1949. Together they raised four children. Her greatest joys in life were her husband, children and her deep faith. Pat loved to travel, enjoyed reading, and working jigsaw puzzles along with being an avid card player. She loved to bake. Pat spoiled those she loved with her pies, cinnamon rolls and date nut bread. She was a lifelong member of St. Bernadette Parish and a volunteer in the early days for Meals on Wheels.

Pat is survived by her children Sister Mary Grace, Debra, Charles, and Patricia (Abel) Castillo. She delighted in her grandchildren Brant (Hannah d. 2025) Kuppe, Connor (Anne Marie) Kuppe, Grace Castillo (Parker) Cassell, Sarah Castillo, Matthew (Peyton) Castillo and great-grandchildren Holden and Adalyn Kuppe. Pat was thrilled knowing her granddaughter Grace was expecting twins in July. Pat is also survived by her sister-in-law Carol McArdle and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass for Pat will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2400 Bell Ave, Rockford, IL 61103. 

Family extends a heartfelt thank you to Mom’s special caregiver, Alicja, and OSF Hospice staff Amy, Brittany, Sue, Chris and Nate. Your love and care for Pat is something the family will always treasure. May she rest in the peace of the risen Christ.
