Phetsamone Rattanasengkham, 48, passed away on September 21, 2026.

Born on September 2, 1978, in Bangkok, Thailand, she was the daughter of Khammeune and Symone Rattanasengkham.

Phetsamone was a proud graduate of the Illinois School for the Deaf in Springfield, earning her diploma in 1997. She later attended the National Technical Institute for the Deaf in New York, continuing her pursuit of education and personal growth.

Those who knew Phetsamone knew of her love for shopping, spending time with friends, and sharing stories about her daughter. She especially treasured time spent with her twin sister, with whom she shared a unique and lifelong bond.

An animal lover at heart, Phetsamone had a special affection for cats, rabbits, and dogs. Her fondness for animals even extended to owning a tarantula at one point, reflecting her adventurous spirit and appreciation for all creatures.

During the final week of her life, her twin sister lovingly helped care for her, providing comfort, companionship, and support. Their connection remained strong until the very end.

She is survived by her daughter, Thailia Rain Sanchez and Thailia's father Erik Sanchez; her mother Symone; her sisters Soudsakhone Rattansengkham and Kay Lynn Ratanas; nieces and nephews Nickolas Thaine and Demetrius Andrews Rattansengkham, Terrance Lamont, Kai’Terra Olivia-Symone, and Thailon Deshawn Dupree Ross; great niece and nephew Khalil Lamont Thomas and Kali Lynn Banks. She is predeceased by her father, Khammeune.

Cremation rites were accorded to Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel.
