Ada Minneci

Ada Minneci, 95, Rockford, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015, in her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Tower Hill, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Gaetano and Carmela (DiLeo) Castellano. Ada married Samuel “Sam” Minneci in Chicago. He passed away in 1989. She worked at Dole Valve Company for over 30 years and as the Wagon Wheel Dorm Mother from 1971 until her retirement in 1978.
Survived by her daughter, Charlene (Joseph) Guarino of Rockford; her granddaughter, Samantha Guarino ; her 99 year old brother, Charles Costello and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be at noon on Monday, January 12, 2015, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with Pastor Doug Thiesen officiating. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation from 10:00 A.M. until time of service on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior program.
