Alan Charles Hooper

Alan Charles Hooper, 55, passed away unexpectedly on September 9, 2015, doing the things he loved, working in the yard. He was born in Rockford on November 20, 1959. Alan was the son of Elizabeth and Russell Hooper. He loved being outside and made his work the thing he loved. He was the owner and operator of this landscape and snow removal company, Lawncare Limited. Al and brother, Steve, loved to restore automobiles as a hobby, such as their Challenger. He lost a little each year when his father died, then his brother, Steve and his mother later. Al is survived by his older sister, Barb (Lynn) Heinemann.
Al graduated from East High in 1977, along with many of his friends that made memories to last a lifetime. Other friends were cousins and relatives in Central Illinois to North Carolina. He graduated from Rock Valley with an associate’s degree. Al couldn’t say enough about the friends he had and the neighbors he shared life with.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Private family interment in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery.
