Albert M. Volsch

Albert M. Volsch, 86, of Rockford, went to be with the Lord on February 19, 2009 at Wesley Willows. Albert was born April 9, 1922 in Rockford, the son of Albert C. and Leota (Rinedollar) Volsch. Albert married Catherine Zinnecker on June 8, 1994 at St. Bridget Catholic Church. Albert graduated from Old Rockford High School in 1940 and was a member of the 1939 Basketball Team which won the Illinois State Championship. He was a US Army Air Corps veteran of WWII. Albert worked for Ingersoll Milling Machine Company until he moved to Fort Worth, TX in 1952, where he worked for Do-All and then worked Acme Machine Company, becoming President and remaining there until 1967 and then founded AMCO Enterprises which he owned and operated until retiring in 1984 and had served on the Board of Directors with ARA Manufacturing Company. Albert was a member of St. Bridget Catholic Church, the International Mobile Air Conditioning Association, which honored him as a 25 year member. He was an avid golfer and was a member of Great Southwest Golf Club of Fort Worth, Texas, Mauh-Nah-Tee-See Country Club and the Country Club of Beloit. Albert is survived by his wife, Catherine; his son, William (Samantha) Volsch of Findlay, Ohio; daughter, Sue Thal; daughters, Kay Adams of Arlington, TX and Jan Hyatt of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Brian Adams, Beth Adams, Cory McBee, and Dorian Volsch and Cobi Wilson; great-grandson, Will Adams; brother-in-law, Joseph (Dedie) Zinnecker, and sister-in-law, Mildred Zinnecker. Albert was predeceased by his parents, and his brother-in-law, Francis Robert Zinnecker. Funeral Mass will celebrated on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at 10 a.m. at ST. Bridget Catholic Church followed by burial in Rockton TownshipCemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 9 a.m. 9:45 a.m. at the church.
