Alice Lillian Geng, 94, Rockton, passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 with her family by her side. She was born on August 17, 1918, in Rockford, to James and Lillian ODonnell. She graduated from Muldoon High School in 1936 and attended business school in Rockford. Married Karl Geng on December 2, 1939.
Alice was active in Macktown Ladies Golf and Bridge Association and a member of the New Century Book Club of Rockton. She enjoyed her bowling team, traveling and quilting.
Survived by her children, Duke (Sharon) Geng, of Rockton, Michael Geng, of Colorado Springs, CO, and Susan Winn of Rockton; brother, Jack ODonnell; seven grandchildren and eleven greatgrandchildren. Predeceased by her husband, Karl; parents; son, John Geng and sister, Helen.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 31, 2012 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Talcott Free Library, 101 East Main St. Rockton, IL. 61072.
