Amy Louise Schwartz, 55, of Rockford, IL, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Kindred Hospital, Sycamore, IL.

She was born October 25, 1964 in Oak Park, IL. Amy will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She was known for her infectious smile and love for people as she reached many people throughout her time on Earth. She grew up in Oak Park and graduated in 1982 from Oak Park River Forest High School. Amy then went on to get her bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy at St. Francis University in Joliet. She lived in downtown Chicago for a short time before she welcomed the best thing into her life, her daughter. Amy loved working for an asset collections company in Beloit the most. After retirement you could find her enjoying her favorite local band, "Rollin Whiskey" in Rockford or at the Election as a judge, which she loved doing every year. Her family became complete when she married Emmet F. Schwartz in 2013. Amy said was the best thing that happened to her after Katie. She lived with her husband, daughter, daughter-in-law, grandson and her many beloved pets in Rockford till her death. She was preceded in death by her father Steven Andree; and Brother Mark Andree.

She leaves on Earth her husband, Emmet Schwartz; daughter Kathleen (Cayli) Mitchell; grandson, Hunter; mother, Kathleen (Jim) Locke; brother, Matthew Andree; niece, Ellyn Andree; step-mother, Lesa Andree, along with many friends, coworkers, fellow classmates and anyone who had the opportunity to be around her smile and bright light. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

Cremation rites will be accorded. Services will be planned for a future date.
