Angeline “Angie M. Sink

Angeline “Angie” M. Sink, 88, of Rockford, passed away February 25, 2019. Born January 31, 1931 in Windber, PA, the daughter of Italian Immigrants Gaspero & Frances (Paola) Sirianni. Graduated Windber High School, class of 1949. After high school she enlisted in the US Air Force, where she met Richard James Sink. They married June 26, 1954 at Chanute AFB in Rantoul, IL. Moved to Rockford in 1964, where she was employed as a legal secretary. In 1973 Angie attended Rock Valley College and went on later to work in the Sheriff’s Department until 1993 when she retired to take care of her husband. She was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, the Fraternal Order of Police, and AFSCME Council 31. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and especially her dog, Rowdy.
Survivors include sons, Mike Sink and Tom (Debbie) Sink; daughter Tina (Brian) Raudonis; six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one on the way as well as Brothers-in-law, Sister in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Mercy Hospital and special friends Gary and Linda Webster, Danny Gilley, Diane Elliot, and pen-pal, Lucy Cassioppi. Predeceased by parents, husband, Richard “Dick” Sink; son, Rick Sink, siblings John, Stella, and Frannie.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2019 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. Rockford, IL 61103, with a private burial to follow at St. Mary’s / St. James Cemetery. Visitation from 11 a.m. until time of service at funeral home.
