Ann M. Di Mario

Ann Marie Di Mario, daughter of Harry and Carrie (Capriola) Choppi was born to life on April 5, 1928 in Rockford and born to eternal life on Thursday, April 26th at home in the arms of her loving son.
Ann graduated from East High School. She married Joseph Di Mario on November 2nd, 1947 in St. Anthony Church. She was a homemaker who cared for her five children.
Ann’s greatest joy in life was her beloved family, and she always walked through life with a deep faith in our Lord. When her children were grown, she had a rewarding career in retail where she created new and lasting friendships. Ann started her career in retail at Lillian’s in the 1980’s. When Lillian’s closed she went to work at Sylvia’s Fashions until 2010.
Ann was a classy lady who looked forward to going to the salon, and had great style. Ann was always someone you could confide in and could count on for the best advice.
Survivors include her four children, Joanne Di Mario, Joseph (Patty) Di Mario, Alfred Di Mario and Carl (Pamela) Di Mario; daughter-in-law, Trisha Graydon; brother, Joseph (Kathy) Choppi of Murray, Kentucky; grandchildren, Laura (LaCarlin) Davis, John Williams, Daniel (Elizabeth) Di Mario, Emily (Thomas) Warmoth, Molly (Blaine) Oliphant, Marie (Mitch) Juhl, Jennifer (Manuel) Di Mario-Jimenez, Jordan Di Mario, Hope (Jarred) Di Mario-Tholin, Haylee and Hollee Di Mario; fourteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents, husband of 67 years; son, Michael; sisters Josephine Redmond and Geneva Monty; brother, Carl Choppi.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon on Monday, April 30, 2018 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1010 Ferguson St, Rockford. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
