Anna Bernadette Rinaldo

Anna Bernadette (Sciacca) Rinaldo, 92, of Rockford, passed away peacefully in her daughter’s home, with the love of her family surrounding her, Tuesday, February 9, 2016. She was born May 19, 1923, in South Beloit, IL, the daughter of Joseph and Antonia (Marone) Sciacca. Anna married Thomas Joseph Rinaldo June 8, 1946, at St. Peter Catholic Church in South Beloit. She worked at The Fuse Fireworks Factory in South Beloit and for the Sears Maintenance Agreement Office, where she retired. She volunteered at St. Anthony Medical Center and for the prayer line. Anna loved the Lord. She was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church, and spent many hours over many years calling prayer lines for the needs of others. Anna loved her family. She was always there for them, giving of her love, time, and many gifts.
Survived by her sons, Joseph (Marilyn Tamburelli) Rinaldo Sr. and Dennis Rinaldo; daughter, Constance, (Duane) McAllister; grandchildren, Joseph Jr. and Phillip Rinaldo; Lindsay (Andrew) Wilkinson and Kathryn Rinaldo ( Andy Stadler) ; and Kelly, Peter, and Mandy McAllister; and great-grandchildren, Gianni and Lorenzo Rinaldo. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Rinaldo; brother, John (Shelby) Sciacca; and sister, Josephine (David) Winter. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 15, 2016, at St. Rita Catholic Church, 6254 Valley Knoll Drive, Rockford, IL, with Fr. William Wentink officiating. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, February 14, 2016, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 1860 S.
