Anna Ekberg

Anna Marie (Liatto) Ekberg, 71, of Rockford died on Tuesday September 25, 2012.nbsp; Born November 14 th , 1940 in Independence, LA., daughter of Batist and Laura (Crocker) Liatto.nbsp; She later moved to Rockford where she met and married James Ekberg on July 2 nd , 1958; he died on December 12, 1984. Anna was a wonderful mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother.nbsp; She loved reading, doing her crossword puzzles and working in her yard.nbsp; She spent a great deal of her spare time with her children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.nbsp; She also loved traveling.nbsp; She is survived by her brother; Raymond Liatto and sisters; Mary Linda Van Mullen and Kathy Smith. Daughters; Laurie Walters, Tammy (Sid) Matthews, Stephanie Jackson and Andrea Hartweck. Sons; James and Craig Ekberg. Grandchildren; Barry Jackson, Natasha Mulrooney, Dalaura Hanner, Christina Jackson, Sara Jackson, Jordan (Seneca) Meeks, Devon (Amber) Mulrooney, Jonathan Hutchins, Kelsey Mulrooney, Alec Hutchins, Maryn Walters, Cara Ekberg, Kayla Ekberg, Caitlyn Ekberg and Chase Ekberg.nbsp; Anna also had 22 greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.nbsp; Predeceased by brothers; Anthony Ray Liatto and Chris Chuck Liatto.nbsp; A special thanks to Dr. Kenneth Brin at Swedish American hospital for taking such good care of our loved one.nbsp; All funeral services will be private.
