Anna Marie Wise

Anna Marie Wise, 49, of Pecatonica, passed away March 16, 2022, in her home surrounded by her loving family. Born August 6, 1972, in Rockford, the daughter of William & Shirley (Hines) Scharr. She graduated from Winnebago High School, class of 1991. Married James M. Wise on June 22, 1996. Anna lovingly cared for numerous children in her role as an independent babysitter and as a caregiver for Help @ Home and Department of Rehabilitation Services of Freeport, Illinois. She was a strong supporter of the Neurofibromatosis Foundation. Anna participated in yearly walks to raise awareness and funds to battle this disease. Her moto was “Live today for a better tomorrow.”
She is survived by her loving husband James; children, Samantha (Zachary) Lawson, Carli Wise and (Austin) Vyborny; grandchildren, Maverick and Grayson Lawson; mother, Shirley Hines Dieterman, stepfather, Dave Applegate; siblings, Bernie (Dawn) Scharr, Louie (Kathy) Scharr, Peggy Joe Scharr, Billie Joe Scharr, Nicole Trip; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephew, sister-in-law Lori (Alex) Olea; brother-in-law. Ryan Wise, and best friend Cami (Scott) Hillary.
Services will be 3 PM Tuesday, March 2022, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, 3910 N. Rockton Ave, Rockford, IL 61103, with the Rev. Anthony Maynard officiating. Visitation from 1 PM until time of service. A private burial will take place at Chapel Hill Cemetery, Freeport Illinois.
