September 21, 1929 — May 23, 2008

Anne McCrea of Rockford, died after a short illness in her home on May 23, 2008. Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland and Immigrated with her family to the United States in 1968. Married Hugh McCrea in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Anne was a homemaker most of her life and took great pride in her home and family. She enjoyed home decorating and was very good at it. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Survived by her husband, Hugh; son, Kenneth (Bambi) McCrea; daughters, Lorraine (Stephen) Reiter, Sharon (Steven) Edwards and Michelle (David) Lennox; grandchildren, Ryan and Kellen McCrea, Brittany, Brennan and Colin Reiter, Morgan, McKenzie and Vaughan Edwards, Emerson and Luke Lennox; brother, David (Enid) Atkinson and Family of Edinburgh, Scotland; sister-in-law, Nora Bennett and nephews, William and Brian of Northern Ireland and her additional family in Australia and New Zealand and of course her ""Wee Dog Shannon"" . She was preceded in death by her parents; aunt, Annie and her beloved dog Keely. The family would like to extend a special thank you to hospice nurse, Cindy, for her compassionate care, smiles and all her prayers, we are extremely grateful. Funeral service Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel 1860 S. Mulford Rd with Rev. Dr. David Smazik of Westminster Presbyterian Church officiating. Visitation from 1-1:45 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials to: Hospice Care of America, 483 N. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61107.
