Arthur Palmer Aumann

Arthur Palmer Aumann, 24, of Rockford, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015 in his home after a courageous battle with melanoma. He was born December 22, 1990 in Tampa, Florida, the son of Vince and Sarah Aumann. He was pre-deceased earlier this year by his grandfather, Rod MacDonald. Arthur was an entertainment writer for The Northern Star, DeKalb's newspaper. He attended Northern Illinois University, where he was finishing his degree in Media Studies, with a minor in journalism. His career ambition was screenwriting. He was also a member of the Toys R Us family since high school. He was co-founder and long-time member of Team Assailant.

Survivors include grandparents Ray and Jan Aumann, parents Vince and Sarah Aumann, sisters Leah (Keith) English, Sara and Ginny Aumann, and brothers Max (Hollee), Raymond and Vince Aumann.

There will be a Memorial Mass at 1 p.m. Saturday October 10 at St. Peter and Paul, 617 Lincoln Ave, 61102, and a reception to follow at Forest Ridge Events, 11189 Forest Hills Rd, 61111.
