Austin Bull Rux

Austin Bull Rux, 15, went to be with God, unexpectedly, on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born May 24, 1996 in Rockford the son of Fred Rux and Roberta Korntved. He moved on from a great Freshman year, after receiving a 4.0 and was ready to begin his sophomore year at Rockford East High School. Austin was a dedicated member of the Rockford East Football and wrestling teams and was nominated to the Positive Behavior in School Committee at East. He was a huge Dallas Cowboy fan and he and his dad loved the rodeo. To know him was to love him, he was a wonderful person who loved God and lived life to its fullest, he will be missed greatly by all. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nbsp;nurses and staff at Rockford Memorial Hospital for the excellent care they gave to Austin.

nbsp;Survivors include his parents, Roberta (Anthony) Korntved and Fred Rux; sisters, Emily Rux and Cassie Korntved and brother, Lucas Korntved all of Machesney Park; maternal grandparents, Dale and Delores Runberg; paternal grandfather, Darrell Rippon; step grandparents, Dave and Jeanie Korntved; aunts and uncles, Marcia Runberg, Brenda (Charly) Manning, Jeff (Annette) Runberg, Vienna Aaby, Darwin, Kenny and Gerald Chub Rux and numerous cousins and special friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Gerald Rux and Inez Rippon.

Funeral service Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Salvation Army, 500 S. Rockford Ave, with Pastor Tim Spickler of New Life Bible Church officiating. Visitation Wednesday, July 20 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel 1860 S. Mulford Rd. from 4 - 8 p.m. To honor Austin please wear his favorite NFL team colors (blue and silver) or Rockford East( red and black).nbsp; Interment will be held in Arlington Memorial Park.
