Barbara Murphy

Barbara Murphy, 73, of Rockford passed away Thursday, October 27, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family.
Born April 20, 1938 in Dubuque, IA the daughter of Peter and Katheryn (Koster) Pape.
She moved to Rockford, IL on January 21, 1968.

Barbara worked as cosmetologist out of her home for many years retiring in 1994.
She was a member of the Humane Society and Animal Welfare.
Her love and care was always for her family.
Barbara married LaVerne Murphy July 30, 1955 he preceded her in death December 13, 2006.

Survivors include her daughters Kim Murphy and Victoria Murphy
grandchildren, Joseph Murphy and Valerie (Joshua) Forster; great grandchildren, Mitchell, Riley, Katheryn, Ali, Izabella, MacKenzie, Cameron, Joseph Jr., Raymond, Jasmine and one brother James (Barbara) Pape. She was predeceased by her parents.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Heartland Hospice for the care and compassion they have given their mother.
