Bernard E. Rammon

Bernard E. “Bud” Rammon, 90, Rockford, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Emeritus Senior Living. He was born April 27, 1924, in Chicago; the son of Bernard and Mary Rammon. Bud was a WW II veteran serving in the Army and was awarded the Silver Star. He married Josephine LaPlaca. She passed away in September 1995. Bud worked at Barber Colman Company for over 30 years retiring as a general foreman in 1987. He was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church. He is a member or the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Bud enjoyed baseball, especially the Cubs, but his true passion was playing golf.
Survived by his son, Rick (Suzanne) Rammon of Stockridge, GA; his daughter, Joyce (Margit) Rammon of Purcellville, VA; his grandchildren, Anna and Michael Rammon, and extended family, Cathi Leieinger, Christi Kelly, and her children, Lexi and Lauren, and Cammi Weber and her daughter, Kaylee; his sisters, Elenear Wegrezyn, Marion Francis, and Florence Krueger; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife, Josephine, his sisters, Bernice Castle, Evelyn Angelmire, and Ester Jenkins and his brothe, Chuck Rammon.
Memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M., Monday, February 16, 2015, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford. Share online condolences at www.fitzgeraldfh.com.
