BETTY F. BARTEL, 80, Rockford, died at 6:44 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2007 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center.nbsp; Born December 26, 1926 in Rockford, daughter of Florence Gibbons Ryan.nbsp; Married Robert E. Bartel on September 28, 1948.nbsp; Worked for many years as a waitress at the Faust Hotel.nbsp; She also worked at Sentry Drug for several years. Member of Cathedral of St. Peter.nbsp; Betty was an avid bowler and loved to crochet.nbsp; She received great joy from her beautiful flower garden and had much appreciation for her neighbors.nbsp; Once you were Bettys friend, you were her friend for life.nbsp; She was a generous, giving woman who would do anything for her family.nbsp; nbsp; Survivors include her son, Michael W. Bartel; grandsons, Luke and Drew Bartel all of Rockford and her special friends from Pauls Hair Studio.nbsp; Predeceased by her husband on July 18, 1991 and her mother. nbsp; A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 9, 2007 in St. Bridget Catholic Church with Rev. Brian Olsen officiating.nbsp; Visitation on Sunday from 4-7 p.m. in Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N.
