Betty Jane Earlywine

BETTY JANE EARLYWINE, 75LOVING MOTHER, GRAND MOTHER, GREAT GRAND MOTHER, SISTER, AUNT, NIECE, COUSIN AND FRIEND TO MANYROCKFORD, - Betty J. Earlywine 75, of Rockford went to heaven on Sunday, Aug. 15, 2010 on the same day as our Blessed Mother Mary. Born July 30, 1935, in Rockford, the daughter of Eugene and Mary (Dallosto) Poli. Betty graduated from Saint Anthony School of Nursing in 1953. She was a dedicated, loving nurse who spent her entire life caring for others. Betty spent the last several years of her career as a Nursing Supervisor at SwedishAmerican Hospital. She married Sylvester "Tom" Earlywine on Feb. 16, 1957. They were married for 43 years and had 8 children, 17 grand children and 4 great grand children. Betty was a devout Catholic and enjoyed spending time with her children and family, coffee clutching at the round table. She was thought of as a mother by many and gave support and guidance to all. Grandma had a wonderful sense of humor and will be remembered by her grand children for telling their favorite joke about the three molasses. Our mother will live on forever in our hearts and memories. God bless you mom and thank you for your unselfish love. Survived by children, Tammy Burke, Thomas Earlywine (Deborah), Terianne Burke (Martin), Timothy Earlywine (Kelli), Mary Deeter, Nancy Earlywine, Patricia Ferguson (Jason), Jamie Earlywine (Christine), Mark Burke, special extended family Thomas and Delores Baker, grand children, Luke, Ryan, Katie and Kim Burke, Erin, Shea and Wil Earlywine, Timothy, Andrew, Rachele and Rebekah Earlywine, Christina and Joshua Deeter, Brittany Earlywine, Alyssa and Alayna Earlywine, T.J. Baker, great grand children, Luke, Lauren and Lilyana Burke, Landon Burke, sister, Marianne Larson, brother, Peter Poli and very special Aunt "Jo" . Very dear to her heart were her nieces and nephews, John (Cindy) Larson, Sue Larson, Renee Kanak, Bob (Beth) Larson, Jean Larson, Mary (Nick) Lomma, Carolyn (Chad) Jacobs, Jay Larson, great nieces and nephew, Michael, Michelle and Katie Larson, Mary Larson, Dominic and Sarabeth Lomma, Kelly, Nicholas, Nathan and Joshua Jacobs and special dog Ringo. Predeceased by her loving husband Sylvester "Tom" Earlywine, parents Eugene and Mary Poli. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family to benefit St. Bernadette School and St. Anthony. Funeral Mass at 10am Thursday August 19, 2010 in St Bernadette Church. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation from 5pm until 8pm Wednesday in Fitzgerald Funeral Home Riverside Chapel 3910 N. Rockton Ave, with Rosary at 8pm. In lieu of flowers memorials to St. Bernadette School.
