Beverly Jean O'Hare

Beverly Jean O’Hare, 89, Rockford, passed away Friday, June 15, 2018, at Wesley Willows.

Beverly was born April 1, 1929, in Chicago, the daughter of Sigmund and Ona (Gray) Burnes. Beverly married Don Robert O’Hare in Chicago on June 5, 1950. A longtime member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Beverly was devoted to her faith and service to the community. Beverly volunteered in many areas of the church. Her favorite, Vacation Bible School, allowed her to use her creative and artistic talent for the enjoyment of the children who attended. Beverly also devoted her time to Rockford Clothes Closet and Meals on Wheels.

She is survived by her daughters, Jeanne O’Hare of Philadelphia, PA and Virginia O’Hare of Rockford; her son, John O’Hare of New York, NY; and her grandson, Ian. Predeceased by her husband, Don; and her brothers, Donald and Robert Burnes.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory assisted the family.
