Blaine D. Rucks

Blaine D. Rucks, 63, of Machesney Park, IL passed away on December 9, 2021. He was born in Rockford, IL on January 17, 1958 to Herbert and Phyllis (Rhyner) Rucks. Blaine graduated from Boylan High School in 1976 and then went on to graduate from Western Illinois University. He worked for Motorola for 10 years and then worked for PCI for several years up until retirement. Blaine was a long time member of the Venetian Club. He loved to be in the Sun and visiting Florida. Blaine was a huge Boylan, Notre Dame and Green Bay Packer fan. He had a great life and lived it to the fullest. Blaine will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Blaine is survived by his soul mate of 14 years, Tammy Boyer; his siblings, Stuart (Denise) Rucks, Debbie Lind and Tami Dunlap; his nieces and nephews, Jessica (Cole Barker) Rucks, Abby Rucks, Silas (Morgan) Lind, Neil (Blanca) Lind, Alison (Daniel) Lind Boomer, Barclay (Cande) Dunlap, Hanna Dunlap and Clayton (Julia) Dunlap; several great nieces and nephews; Tammy’s children, J.R. (Kara) Boyer, Gabe Boyer and Blake (Brittany) Boyer; Tammy’s grandson, Trace Butler; and Blaine’s very close and best friend, Bill Roy. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Philip Dunlap.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to all of the staff at Swedish American Hospital for their compassion and care during this time.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel. 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL 61108. Funeral Service will be on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory with visitation taking place from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family for them to establish at a later date.
