Bradford "Brad" D. Stewart

Bradford “Brad” Dean Stewart, 62, of Rockford, IL passed away at home on Monday, February 21, 2022.

Brad was born in Syracuse, New York on May 29, 1959, son of Brian and Ida (Santos) Stewart. He graduated from Northbrook High School in Houston, TX, Class of 1977. Brad went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in industrial engineering from Texas A&M University. He was employed as manager/director with Bon-Ton Inc. (former Bergner’s) for 31 years.

Brad was a longtime member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed music, playing guitar, and watching movies with his family at home or in theater. Brad was a lifetime sports fan and also played sports in his youth. He had a great sense of humor, loved telling jokes, making people laugh and cheering them up. Most of all, Brad enjoyed spending time with his family, his dog, Bucky, and supporting and watching his 3 sons excel in playing hockey. Brad will be dearly missed.

Surviving relatives include his children, Hayden, Ethan and Harrison Stewart; wife, Kate Stewart; brother, Dr. Gary (Lisa) Stewart; sister, Kim Stewart; nephews, Tyler, Spencer and niece, Ashley. Brad is predeceased by his parents and step-father, Dr. Paul Secord.

A celebration of Brad’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2821 N. Bell School Road, Rockford, IL 61107 with a visitation from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.
