Davis, 89, Rockford, died Thursday, February 24, 2011 in Provena St. Anne Center.nbsp; Born May 12, 1926 in Centerville, Iowa, son of Alva and Mary Ford Davis.nbsp; Married Hazel Klingenberg in Minnesota on March 29, 1943.nbsp; Retired in 1983 from W.F. and John Barnes after 41 years of employment.nbsp; WWII veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in the South Pacific Corridor and he was anbsp; former member of Belvidere VFW Post 1461.nbsp; Carl always enjoyed traveling throughout the years.nbsp;
Survivors include his brother, Bobby (Geri) Davis, Clermont, FL; sister, Olive Hardy, Rockford and several nieces and nephews.nbsp; Predeceased by his wife on September 18, 1982; sister, Faye Brandt on April 11, 1999 and his parents. The family would like to also thank Provena St. Anne Center for their loving care.
