Carol Ann Medeiros

Carol Ann Medeiros, 69, of Rockford, passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 in her home. She was born on December 22, 1946 in Westchester, IL, the daughter of Edward and Ethel (Mirous) Cutshaw. On October 3, 1964, she married the love of her life, John Medeiros. Together they raised a wonderful family of 5 children. Carol was an avid crafter, anything from knitting to coloring. Above all else, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Carol was deeply loved by her family, and she loved them deeply in return. She will be missed by all those who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, John, of 52 years; her children, John(Holly) Medeiros, Marc (Melissa) Medeiros, Debra Zappa, Deanna Medeiros, and Cheryl Medeiros; 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and dear friend, Arlene Zaccagnini and family. She is predeceased by her parents.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel. A brief prayer service will be held at 5:45 p.m. Inurnment private. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Holy Family Catholic Church appreciated.
