Carol M. Letsinger

Carol M. Letsinger, 86, of Rockford, IL passed away Thursday, November 14, 2019. She was born August 1, 1933 in Freeport, IL the daughter to Walter and Lauretta (Redanz) Kitchen. Carol attended Freeport High School graduating in 1951. She married the love of her life, Donald Letsinger on July 22, 1954. Carol worked for the Milwaukee Cheese Company and Barber Coleman. She enjoyed camping and traveling, especially the bus trips with the Golden Agers and Recycled Teenagers. She also enjoyed concerts, playing cards, board games, dominoes, puzzles and square dancing. Most of all Carol loved the time she spent with her family. She will forever be in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Survived by her children, Leann (Terry) Steiner and Steve (Ardene Mosley) Letsinger; grandchildren, Nicole (Jeff Ziemer) Monstero, Erik (Graciela Franzwa) Steiner, Chad (Lisa) Letsinger, Austin (Samantha Hoffman) Letsinger, Breana Letsinger; great grandchildren, Kayle, Ben, Makayla, Sam, Gabe, Tony, Christian, Landon, Logan; brother-in-law, Jerry Letsinger. Predeceased by her parents and beloved husband, Donald. The family would like to thank the staff at Northern Illinois Hospice for their care and compassion.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Christ United Methodist Church, 4509 Highcrest Rd. Rockford, IL 61107. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Freeport, IL.
