Carole E. Heins

Rockford - Carole E. Heins, 77, died Wednesday, April 23, 2009 at Rockford Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Born Sept. 13, 1931 in Montreal Canada the daughter of Everette and Evelyn (Johnston) Reed. Served in the United States Army as a clerk and was honorably discharged in 1952. Carole then married her loving husband Robert Heins on July 31, 1954 in Rockford. She was a member of the Rockford Art Guild and was an avid painter. She also took time as a train enthusiast and would often visit Rochelle to sit and watch the trains coming and going. Survivors include her daughters, Judy Heins of Rockford, Rebecca Box of Morgantown, Indiana and Jan (Mike Cialkowski) Heins of Franklin Grove; grandchildren, Daniel Bunk, Noah Forbes, Tristen and Jennifer Garmon; great grandson, Daniel Bunk Jr and her two faithful companions Bexar and Punkin. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert in 2005, her daughter Roberta Forbes in 2000, her son-in-law, Gregory Box and grandson, David Box in 1988.

Memorial Service Monday, April 27, 2009 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave at 3:00 p.m. Visitation from 2-3 p.m. in the funeral home.
