Carole M. Rowe

Carole M. Rowe, 82 of Rockford died June 16, 2012 at Emeritus Assisted Living surrounded by her family.Born November 13, 1929 to Herbert and Winifred (Gallagher) Castle. Married the love of her life, Richard Rowe on November 20, 1948. After a happy and loving marriage of 56 years, Richard died in 2004, six weeks after the death of their beloved son Jeffrey. Carole retired from Rockford Clinic after working for several years in both the pharmacy and insurance departments. Carole and Richard had a long retirement and took many trips. Survived by her daughters, Kathy (Steve) Youngberg and Nancy (Bob) Clark; grandchildren, Steven (Ivy) Klusmeier, Michelle (Ben) Moore, Sara (Josh) Richter, Lisa (Mike) Lee, Kara (Mace) Davis, Andrea Rowe and Tianna (Aaron) La Beau; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Leona McDuffa and nephew Roger McDuffa. Preceded in death by her husband, Richard; son and daughterinlaw, Jeff and Julie Rowe; sister, Beverly Roland and her parents. The family wishes to thank her ""other family"" , the staff at Emeritus (previously Loyalton of Rockford) and Serenity Hospice. Funeral Mass Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church with visitation from 9 a.m. until time of prayer at 9:45 a.m. in the Parish Hall. Private entombment will be held in Calvary Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family for a fund to be established at a later date. Fitzgerald Funeral Home is assisting the family.
