Catherine A. Pearce, 64, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2011, in her home.nbsp; She was born January 12, 1947, in Rockford, the daughter of Edmund and Mary (LaFleur) Pearce.nbsp; She was a graduate of St. Patrick Catholic School, Muldoon High School, Rock Valley Junior College, and Illinois State University.nbsp; After receiving her Masters degree in social work from the University of Illinois, she was a school social worker for 20 years. Catherine was a member of the Cathedral of St. Peter where she was a Lector and Eucharistic Minister.nbsp;

Survived by her sister, Mary Koroll; brothers, Richard (Joanie) Pearce, Paul (Becky) Pearce, and Thomas Pearce; nieces and nephews, Kristy Koroll, Kenny Koroll, Ricky Pearce, Tom (Debi Stasica) and Jerry Pearce, Arthur Pearce, Alicia Pearce and Anna Pearce. The family would like to thank Amberwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their loving care and special thank you to Heartland Hospice Services for making her wish to be home with her family come true.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00am, Saturday, February 12, 2011, at the Cathedral of St. Peter, 1243 N. Church St., Rockford, IL 61103 with Reverend Arogyaswamy Lakkineni officiating.nbsp; Visitation from 9:00am until time of service at the church on Saturday.nbsp; Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.nbsp; Arrangements by Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N.
