Cathy J. Scaggs

Cathy J. Scaggs, 64, of Rockford, IL passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022. She was born March 5, 1958, in Emmetsburg, IA the daughter to Alelia (Howard) and Bob Fell. Cathy attended West High School graduating in 1976. She married the love of her life, Edward Scaggs on June 2, 1986. Family was everything to Cathy and she devoted herself to her husband, daughters and grandsons. She was known for her big heart and her cooking. Cathy enjoyed music and the outdoors. She will forever be in the hearts and minds of those who knew and loved her.

Cathy is survived by her husband, Ed; daughters, Sherry Krepfle and Amanda Scaggs; grandsons, Gabriel Hale, Noah Hauli and Christian Hauli; sisters, Annette (Al) Rinehart, Barb Fell, Deanne Henn; sisters-in-law, Norma (John) Whobrey, Linda (Steve) Kantner, Iris (Larry) Barrett; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 29, 2022, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. with a time of sharing at 2:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary, 111 N. 1st Street Rockford, IL 61107.
