Ceadvon Perteete

Ceadvon Perteete, 63, of Rockford, passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2012. Ceadvon endured cerebral palsy all of his life, yet he lived with zeal and the greatest dignity because of the loving care given by his dedicated and compassionate mother Mattie. The love, joy and positive attitude displayed by both Ceadvon and Mattie was admired by all and will never be forgotten.

Ceadvons wheelchair limited his physical abilities but it did not limit his ability to display kindness and concern for others. His heart was always filled with love for his God Jehovah and for his family and friends. Ceadvons smile warmed our hearts and served as a reminder that we need to live our lives in like manner.

Isaiah 35:6 was one of Ceadvons favorite scriptures, where it reads, At that time the lame man will leap up like a deer. Ceadvon often spoke of the time when the promises n the Bible would come true for him and all who suffer from painful disabilities. Revelation 21:4,5 furnishes a guarantee by saying, I am making all things new. Write because these words are faithful and true. God will wipe out every tear from their eyes; there will be an end to death, sickness and pain; for the old order has passed away. We are comforted by these promises and look forward to this wonderful time on the paradise earth.

Ceadvon will be greatly missed by all who love him, especially his mother and caregiver Mattie Perteete; sisters, Susie Hardy and Cynthia Choyce; brother, Raymond Perteete and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at Kingdom Hall Jehovahs Witnesses, 1905 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford with Donald Peach officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford IL 61108 assisted the family.
