Charles A. Buttacavoli

Charles A. Buttacavoli, 69, of Loves Park left this life to go be with the Lord on Monday, February 25, 2013 surrounded by his loving family.
Born to John and Angelina (Fiorenza) Buttacavoli on June 2, 1943; he was a lifetime resident of Rockford.
He graduated from St. Thomas High School.
He married Joan Hinkle on June 4, 1966 at St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Charles worked for CamCar Textron for 38 years before retiring.
Then he worked for Rock River Heat Treat where he drove a truck and enjoyed meeting his customers and friends along the way.
He was a member of St. Bridget Catholic Church.
Chuck was an avid sports fan, his favorite team was the Oakland Raiders and he enjoyed golfing.


Survived by the love of his life and partner for 46 years, Joan; sister, Mary Jo (Gary) Jury; uncles, Frank Buttacavoli and Peter Buttacavoli; aunts, Lee Benesh and Josephine Giorgi; sistersinlaw, Wilma Poyner, Velma Yeager, Thelma (Bob) Hastings, Ruby Martin, Kathy (Steve) Walters; special sisterinlaw, Patsy (Barry) Westholder; brothersinlaw, William Hinkle, James Hinkle, James Martin, Wesley (Glenda) Poe; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews who loved him very much.
Predeceased by his parents, John and Angelina.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at St. Bridget Catholic Church.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with the rosary recited at 6:30 p.m.
Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the family.
