Charles A. Piske

Charles "Chuck" Alan Piske, 55, of Belvidere, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2011 in his home. He was born January 25, 1956 in Rockford, IL, the son of Charles and Joyce Piske. He married Betty (Smiley) Miller in Rockford on June 25, 1994. He worked for Archway Sales for many years. Member of Christ the Rock Lutheran Church. Chuck graduated from Guilford High School in 1974 and Illinois State University in 1978.He is survived by his wife, Betty; daughters, Alexa Lyn Piske and Olivia Leigh Miller; parents, Charles and Joyce Piske; two sisters, Cindy Gonzales and Debbie (Rock) Foster; motherinlaw, Vonnie Smiley; brotherinlaw, Jim (Deana) Smiley; sistersinlaw, Sue (Scott) Coleridge, Gracie (Bill) Ward, and Lou (Allen) Kirby. He also leaves many nieces and nephews, and faithful companion, his little dog, Issy.Funeral service at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at Christ the Rock Lutheran Church, 8330 Newburg Road, Rockford, IL with Rev. David Meggers officiating. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Rockford Lutheran High School.
