Charles "Chuck" E. Piske

Charles “Chuck” Ernest Piske, 88, of Rockford, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022. He was born May 3, 1934, in Rockford, the son of Charles Henry and Adeline A. (Andreas) Piske. He married Joyce Elaine Burg on October 30, 1954, in Rockford, and she predeceased him in 2013. He worked at Sundstrand Aviation for over 39 years, working as a machinist and quality control. He owned and worked with Wally Pariott, a longtime friend, at TriPlex, a wax pattern business, for over 8 years. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and retained friendships with many high school classmates. Chuck enjoyed fishing in Canada and Wisconsin.

He is survived by his daughters, Cynthia Piske of Cherry Valley, and Deborah (Rock) Piske Foster of St. Louis; daughter in law, Betty (Kevin) McCarthy; grandchildren, Joel (Lisa) Gonzales, Tara (Jimmy Friss) Gonzales, Amber Gonzales – Olson, Michael Foster, Alexa (Brady) Eischeid, and Olivia (Chris) Brosig; and several great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents; his wife, Joyce; son, Charles A. Piske; and two sisters, Nadine Salstrom and Charlene Erickson.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022, at 12:00 pm, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford 61108. A public visitation will be held prior to the service, starting at 10:00 am. Burial will be in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery.
